How To Post On Instagram From Your Desktop

Post on Instagram from your desktop

Instagram has always been known as the “mobile-first” platform. It was built in a way to encourage people to use it completely on their mobile devices and post content that is real and authentic. While this principle has made it into the platform it is today, it has also made it more difficult for small businesses to be strategic because of its lack of tools to plan ahead and schedule posts.

Sure, you could buy third-party software, but many of them are expensive and are limited in their features.

Luckily for you, there is a solution that is completely free and is hidden right in the Facebook Creator Studio! Here’s how to get to it!

Step #1: Connect your business Instagram account to your Facebook business page

Before you go any further, make sure that your Instagram and Facebook are attached to one another. Without doing this first, you won’t be able to access the next steps. In order to connect them, go to your Facebook business page and click on “Settings”. From there, click on “Instagram” on the left sidebar. From there, enter your Instagram information and you should be all set!

Step #2: Go to Facebook Creator Studio

Now that your Instagram is connected, head back to your business page and click on “Creator Studio” on the top bar. Once there, click on the Instagram logo also at the top of the page.

Step #3: Create Your Post!

In the upper left-hand corner of the page, click on “Create Post” and select “Instagram Feed”

Note: You also have the ability to upload a video to IGTV if you would like! Simply click on that option instead!

Once the pop-out appears, simply create your post! Upload your photo(s), add your description, tag people, add your location, and more!

When you are done, hit “Publish” to post now, or click on the down arrow and select “schedule”. Pick the day and time you want your post to go out. Once you finish, hit “schedule” again and you’re done!

It’s really that easy! Using this feature allows you to become very strategic with your Instagram account and take things up another notch!
