Graphic Designer
What's the deal?
SocialSurge Marketing is a digital marketing agency that primarily works with small businesses to help tell their stories online through social media, content creation, web design, search engine optimization, and more!
We are rapidly growing and looking to add a Graphic Designer to our team! In this position, you would be supporting both our social media team in the creation of content, but also making a direct impact with clients through branding and other design projects. We want someone who will be a part of our team and wants to grow with us as we continue to build our agency.
Our culture is extremely important to us. We define culture not as the free snacks in the office or the fun activities we do as a team (even though we do have both!) But as the way people feel about coming to work each and every day. We strive to make each person on the team energized and excited to work hard for our clients.
The clients we serve represent a number of different industries, some of which are a little.. Let’s say “out there” so the person in this position must have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a variety of different brands, styles, and tones. In our opinion, this is the most fun part of our job and we want you to feel the same way!
Below you will find the skills needed to complete the work. Don’t worry if you possess only some of them. As long as you are familiar with most and have a creative eye, we want to hear from you!
What're we looking for?
Primary Responsibilities
Content Creation
This role will be heavily involved in the creation of our visual content for social media and much more!
- Graphic Design (Social Media Focus)
- Experience with Canva, Photoshop, InDesign and/or other design platforms
- Experience with professional camera equipment and photography is a bonus!
Video Editing
- Familiarity with premiere pro/iMovie/Final Cut Pro/CapCut or other video editing platforms
- Experience editing for different platforms (ie – TikTok) and styles (ie – Long and short form) is a bonus
Working Social Media Knowledge
- TikTok
- YouTube
Other Qualities
Team Player
We’re looking for someone who is a team player and enjoying working collaboratively. Most of our work is done as a team, and we want to make sure you’ll enjoy working with us!
Organizational Skills
- Must be organized
- Knowledge of Google Suite is a plus
- Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
Love for Milwaukee
Most of our clients are in Milwaukee and southeast Wisconsin. We have a love for Milwaukee that our clients see, and we’re looking for someone who shares that love!
Want to Learn
Most of the work you’re doing is going to be brand new to you, and that’s totally okay! We want to make sure that you’re okay learning new skills and becoming more well rounded in Digital Marketing!
What else can ya tell me?
Experience
College Degree in Marketing Field OR a proven track record of success in some of the requirements.
Job Location
Milwaukee, WI - Must be able to work in-person at our office 2-3 days/week with work-from-home the rest of the time.
Unlimited PTO
Must be generally available 8-5 every day, but flexible work as long as timelines are met.
