Creating a Facebook Business Manager

- Go to the Facebook Business Suite by going to the URL business.facebook.com
- Look for the gear icon in the bottom left and corner. If you see the gear icon, proceed to the next step. If you don’t see the gear icon, jump down to the next section.
- Click the gear icon
- Click More Business Settings which will open a new tab
If you do NOT see the gear icon (otherwise, skip this step):
- Go to the URL business.facebook.com
- Click Create Account in the upper right-hand corner
- Complete the signup process by filling in your correct business information
- You will be redirected to your new business manager’s home screen
Attaching Assets in Facebook Business Manager

- From your business manager home page, select Business Settings In the upper right-hand corner of the page
- Use the left-side navigation to select which asset you would like to connect
- Connect your asset using the following instructions:
Pages
- Click Add
- If you are an admin of the page already, select Add Page
- If you are not an admin, request access to the page
- Begin To Type the name of the page and select it when it populates
- Click Add Page
- After the page is added, click ‘add people’ and make sure that you attach yourself to the asset.
Ad Account
- Click Add
- If you are the admin of an ad account already, click Add an Ad Account
- If you are not an admin, either request access, or create a new ad account
- You need to have your ad account number in order to add it to your business manager
- To get your ad account number, click on the 9 dots in the upper left and select ads manager – You should be taken to an area that has your account number
- Click Add Ad Account
- After the account is added, click ‘add people’ and make sure that you attach yourself to the asset.
Pixel
- If you do already have a Facebook Pixel
- Expand Data sources in the left column and select Pixel
- Click Add
- Begin typing the name of your Facebook Pixel and select
- Click Add Facebook Pixel
- If you do not already have a Facebook Pixel, SocialSurge will create one for you
Payment Method
- Select Payments
- Click Add
- Enter your credit card information and click Continue
- Finish the process and Save
Granting Facebook Business Manager Access

In order to give SocialSurge Marketing access, you have to add us as a partner.
- Click on Partners on the left sidebar
- Click Add
- Click Give a partner access to your assets
- Enter the SocialSurge Business ID: 1210383809084291
- You should see SocialSurge Marketing appear under partners
- Click on SocialSurge Marketing and to the right, click on Share Assets
- Select the asset that you would like to share (please refer to your onboarding email for which assets we need access to)
- On the right, select the permission level for each and click Save
- For most assets, we are going to need full admin access
